Michael Pollan is a professor of journalism at the University of California, Berkeley, where he is also the director of the Knight Program in Science and Environmental Journalism.
He is a contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine and author of The Botany of Desire: A Plant’s-Eye View of the World; A Place of My Own; Second Nature: A Gardener’s Education; The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals; In Defense of Food; Food Rules; and Cooked: A Natural History of Transformation.
